If you need to install your duct in a tight space, try to minimize the number of elbows; each one adds resistance and decreases airflow. Try to include at least 18’ of straight duct before adding an elbow.

Local codes and grease accumulation will determine how often your ducts need to be cleaned, but it’s recommended that you have access panels every 12’ of vertical ducting.
