Kitchen Cleaning Made Super Simple
Whether your house cleaning deals are stained or just need a freshening up, there are easy steps to take to help keep them clean. These tips will help you get the job done quickly and effectively so you can focus on creating and experimenting in your kitchen.
First, wipe down small amounts of daily build-up. A simple solution of warm water mixed with a drop of mild dish soap works great to help erase food splatters, fingerprints and water marks. It’s quick, effective and I expect that most of you already have dish soap in your house!
Next, for greasy cabinet surfaces, try vinegar. Vinegar is a natural cleaner that can remove grime and make your cabinets look sparkling clean! Mix a 50/50 solution of vinegar and warm water in a spray bottle. Spray on cabinets, let sit for a few minutes and then wipe clean with a soft cloth. For really greasy cabinets, add a few drops of liquid dishwashing detergent to the vinegar and water solution.
Other natural cleaners that are often used for kitchen cabinet cleaning include 3% hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. These natural cleaners will sanitize and deodorize your cabinets. Just remember to use these green cleaners in a well-ventilated area, and to store the original chemicals safely in their original containers.
Other helpful tips include: Keep cabinet doors and drawers closed when not in use to help prevent excessive dust and crumbs from building up. Also, line cabinet shelves with shelf liners to protect them from moisture which can damage wood cabinets.
